Happy New Year's Eve!

Even though I am still not ready for the New Year, I still love New Year's Eve. It is so fun to watch all of the New Year Countdowns and stay up till midnight just to see the ball drop in Time Square.

Ever since I was little, I would go to my Grandma's house and we would have a little party with just us kids.

Sadly, I have grown out of that phase but I will always remember and cherish those memories as well as all of the memories of 2015.

I know I will not be the only one who will be struggling with still writing 2015 when it is actually 2016.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's post where I list my New Year's Life and Blog Resolutions!

Getting Ready For The New Year!

Honestly, I have mixed emotions about the New Year. I am ready but not ready at the same time. I know that it is coming and I cannot stop that but it just seems like it is coming entirely too fast in my opinion.

Literally, tomorrow is New Year's Eve and it is one of my most favorite times of the year but I am just not ready for it yet.

In January, I will be starting my first semester in Graduate School as well as moving into my first apartment by myself. Obviously I am a adult, I am almost 23 years old, but in the new year I will really be an adult. It is honestly kind of scary but in a good way.

Embrace the New Year and give it all that you got!

Awesome Christmas Gifts For Females!

Happy Monday Everyone!

ONLY 4 MORE DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS EVE!

Have you done all of your shopping? I know I haven't haha!

I know that it can be difficult to buy gifts for the women in your life. Trust me, I'm a girl, I get it haha. Every year it becomes harder and harder for me to figure out what to get for the women in my family. Every likes different things and of course you can only get them at specific places.

For example, my 13 year old sister who is the most complex person on the planet. She is at that age where everything is baby-ish to her. Even though, secretly she still likes some things.I have tried to get her more teenager type things but even that is tricky. She has her own unique style so 9 times out of 10, she is turning down something that you may think she likes. To make it easier on myself , this year I might just get her a gift card and she can get exactly what she wants haha.

If you are in the same boat as me, these ideas may come in handy:

- Cosmetics and/or a cute Cosmetic Bag
- Nail Polish in funky colors
- The Purse that she has really been eyeing
- A Brand New Pair of Shoes
- Fun Books to read if they are a book lover
- Cute hair accessories
- Stylish Jewelry
- Of course, you can never go wrong with a gift card haha

I know that this list may not be much but I hope that it may be able to give you some ideas!

What are getting the women in your life this Christmas?

Not So Secret Secret Santa

Christmas is almost here!! I am so excited that I am basically a giddy little child.

For the last few years my family has used Secret Santa as a means to make sure everyone at least gets one present because my family is so large. The reason why we started doing Secret Santa is because it was becoming a increasing struggle trying to get a gift for EVERYONE. Secret Santa has also made it easier to give someone a gift that they actually like.

This year I have my brother's girlfriend. Trust me, it is no secret who we all have which does take the secret out of Secret Santa haha. I am just happy that I picked a female who I can make homemade presents for. This year I really wanted to make creatives gift and of course get all kinds of cute gift ideas from Pinterest and now I can haha. Sadly I am not going to disclose what I making until after Christmas so stay tuned!

Have you all ever done Secret Santa? Was it blind or did you all know? How did it turn out?

Ugly Christmas Sweaters!

Have you ever attended a Ugly Sweater Christmas Party? I havent...

My office is having their Christmas Party this year on the 23rd and it's Ugly Sweater themed. There is even going to be a pot luck and a sweater contest.

Me being creative, of course I want to make a fun and tacky sweater. I literally scrolled through Pinterest looking at some many different ideas. It was definitely becoming increasingly hard to narrow it down to just a few sweaters.

At the end of my search I came across a great YouTube video to shows how to make a the Holiday Cheermeister Sweater from How The Grinch Stole Christmas. It looks so cute and so easy to make. In case you didn't know already, the Grinch is one of my all time favorite Christmas movies.

Do you think that that is a good idea or am I being a little over the top for a work party?

What kind of ugly Christmas sweaters have you seen and/or made?

Are You Organized For The New Year?

The New Year is fast approaching. Every year I always plan on setting up resolutions and "say" I'm going to stick to them. Sadly like many of us, that plan failed, miserably haha. Over the past few years I have been becoming increasingly OCD about organization. I color code everything and I carry a planner around with me everywhere I go. This coming year I plan to be more organized in the sense of being productive and consistent. I am going to keep my room as well as my closet clutter free and organized.

If any of you are in the same boat as me, here are some tips to help you get organized for and in 2016:

1. Start by cleaning out your cluttered and filled Email box

- Get rid of all that junk mail.

2. Organize your closet

- Go through your closet and donate any old clothes that you do not wear anymore.

3. Plan Ahead

- If you know of any events that are happening in the new year, mark them down. This way you would not run in to any time conflicts.

4. Learn to say NO

- Never put too much on yourself. You never want to burn yourself out. If you already have a lot going on, don't agree to more than you can handle. Trust me, I know we have all been there.

5. Make time for YOU!

- Always set time aside for yourself. Setting time for you for yourself allows you to relax and unwind. Let all of the stresses of the day melt away. Take a hot bath, read a good book or even just listen to music. As long as it helps you relax and unwind, then that is all that matters.

Comment below with how you are going to get organized in 2016?

Holly Jolly Christmas Traditions!

Every year, my family and I get live for our Christmas Traditions. We always our favorite Christmas and listen to our favorite Christmas songs. Our family favorite Christmas movies are How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Year Without A Santa Claus, Elf and Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town. Trust me when I say that we watch these movies all through the Holidays. We also listen to a lot of Christmas music on repeat. Our family favorites are the Jackson 5 entire Christmas album and Luther Vandross's Christmas album. I've heard their songs so many times that I can tell exactly hat song it is just by hearing the opening. I also know every single word to all of the songs.

Growing up, we also had "Trim-A-Tree" Party. It was a fun away to have a Christmas get together with your friends but also decorate your Christmas tree. My mom would always cook her famous Lasagna and many other yummy dishes. We would then all sit down and play fun Christmas themed games and put on a talent show. Sadly, myself and all of my siblings have gotten too old to continue the tradition.

Hopefully soon I can start creating some of my own and new Holiday Traditions.

What are some of your Christmas/Holiday Traditions?

My Christmas Wishlist!

Since I am almost 23 years old, there really is not much that I want because I have a job and can buy it myself haha. My parents still like to make sure that I at least get one gift on Christmas from them. There really is not much that I want, so you can see my dilemma.

If I absolutely had to pick anything, I would definitely say that some of these things would be perfect:

- Anything monogrammed
- Even just some good books to read

Feel free to comment down below with what do you are putting down on your Christmas list this year?

What To Get The Man In Your Life?

At least for me, it is always difficult to figure out what to get the men in my family. Every year I am faced with the same dilemma. My father is very picky and my brothers basically just do not care what they get. I always try to get every one something and meaningful but it is hard when either they have everything or there is nothing that they want.

For those of you who are like me, some good gift giving ideas are:

- A new wallet
- Undergarments
- Favorite Sports Team Apparel
- Their Favorite Movie(s)
- A Book (if they like reading)
- Tools (if they are handy men)

What are you all getting the men in your life this year?

HO HO HO! Christmas Decor!

There are so many things that you can use to make your home festive for the Holidays.

Some fun and jolly ideas are:

If you are one who owns a ton of Christmas ornaments, like me, and do not want to hang them all up by yourself, why not host a Trim-A-Tree Party?!. This allows you to enjoy good food with your friends and family while listening to Christmas music. The main point of this party is to "trim" your tree, meaning that everyone has to help decorate the tree. Killing two birds with one stone!

Christmas lights are a timeless classic when it comes to the holidays. You can drape them around the outside and inside of your home. You can even hang them in your room. The lights come in so many different colors, sizes and even different shapes. Let your imagination run wild.

In my household, Poinsettias always mark the beginning of the holiday season. I'm certain that they are the staple plant of Christmas.Whether it is real or fake, it always brings out the holiday cheer in everyone.

There are only a few of the fun ideas but there are so many more out there?

How do you decorate your home for the Holidays?

NEW 25 Days of Christmas Line Up:

7am - Home Alone: The Holiday Heist
9am - The Little Drummer Boy

It's Another Friday Check-In Everyone!

Wearing:

Since it is getting colder and colder, I am wearing more and more sweaters. They are very comfy and warm. You could wear them as a top or as a dress and with jeans or leggings. Sweaters also can look really when they are accessorized with a scarf. The options are endless.

Listening:

Obviously I am listening to Christmas Music! As we all know, it puts me in the Christmas mood!

Reading:

Currently, I am reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire. I have seen Wicked on Broadway, and watching The Wiz LIVE last night on NBC really got me in the mood to start reading the book again.

Watching:

I am still watching and loving the ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas!

I am still watching Scream Queens but sadly, December 8th marks the end of season 1 : (

To fill the void in my heart, I am continuing to watch New Girl and I just started watching 2 Broke Girls.

Doing:

I am still working 2 jobs and trying to get prepared for school which hopefully I will be starting in January.

Loving:

I am just loving this Christmas season. I think I have expressed my love and passion enough haha.

Hating:

Hate is a very strong word. Right now, I just strongly dislike all of the senseless violence going on in the world.

I also strongly dislike the fact that starting in January, ABC Family is going to change their name to "Freeform"...

Wishing:

I really wish that I could find  nice apartment where I could live on my own. The downside is that it is very to find a nice apartment that is in my price range. I just have to keep searching though.

Wanting:

Right now, what I want more than anything is to attend John Carroll University in the spring.

Moving On To Round 2!

I am so excited that I just had to share this.

As you all know, my blog posts have been a little sporadic here and there because I have been going through Graduate Admission Applications for numerous schools and taking the GRE.

Since you all are like my second family, i feel that it is only appropriate to share that I got invited to the Graduate Admissions Interview at John Carroll University!

All of my hard work and effort is really paying off and I could not be more proud of myself.

Sadly, the interview is not till December 12th, which I hate because when I get excited about something, I hate to wait haha.

Of course I will let you all know how it goes and the final result!

My 100th Post!

This is my 100th post Everyone!

I know I celebrate the most little things but this is actually a big accomplishment for me.

I started this blog back at the end of June and I was very determined to keep up with it.

It was A LOT of trial and error because I did it all by myself but I honestly believe that the finished product is absolutely beautiful.

Thank you all for giving me the strength, excitement and motivation to keep going.

Happy Hump Day Everyone!

As you all know, I absolutely love the Holiday Season!

Every year, when I see all of the Christmas Trees, Lights and Decorations, I just cannot help but act like a little kid.

As I have said before, this is just something magical about this time of year.

When Thanksgiving rolls around, it's time for me to pull out my decorations and of course, have Christmas music on repeat.

This only thing that I am sweet and sour about is the snow. Obviously, it is not Christmas without snow but I live in Northeast Ohio by Lake Erie and when I say we get a lot of snow, I mean we get A LOT of snow. Honestly, snow is a nightmare to drive through but at the same time I love it.

What puts you in the Christmas mood?

What To Look Forward To In The Last Chapter Of The Year?

Tomorrow starts the beginning of the last chapter of the year. If you have been reading my other posts, or if you are new to my blog, you should all know that I absolutely love Christmas. It is honestly my most favorite time of the year. You all have no idea how excited I am for December 1st.

There are so many fun things to look forward to in December, while except the cold and snow, unless you are into that sort of thing.

Some things to look forward to in December are:

1. Freshly Fallen Snow
2. Houses light up with lights and decorations
3. Decorating your Christmas Tree
4. All of the Christmas Movies, Themed Apparel and Gifts
5. The oh so catchy Christmas Music
6. Of course, the ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas
(P.S stay tuned to a daily schedule of what is premiering every day)

There are so many more things to look forward to and trust me, I could go on and on about the Christmas season.

If you would like to know some more great and fun things about the Month of December and Christmas Time, stay tuned because there will be a new post every day.

What are some fun things that you look forward to in December?

It really means a lot to me that all of you have read my posts and have had enough interest in the things I talk about to keep coming back!

I am still very new to the blog world, but the fact that all of you have checked in to my blog multiple times really makes me want to keep creating posts.

Once again, thank you all and I love each and every one of you!
