Gotta Love Bucketlists!

photo via

Happy Monday Lovelies!!

Who doesn't love making lists?

I absolutely adore them!!

This past year I have started creating a life bucketlist.

For those who do not know, a bucketlist is a list of events, projects, milestones, etc that you wish to achieve by a certain point in time.

Some things that you could include on your list is:
- Getting Married
- Attending University
- Read "x" amount of books
- Sky Diving
- Travel to a specific location
- Own your own home
- Attempt or Finish a Project

Now these are just a few things because there are endless possibilities.

Some things that are on my bucket list are:

- To see a Whale Shark
(Which I have done this summer)
- Travel to London
-Travel to Germany
(FACT: I know German)
- Actually be caught up on all of my favorite tv shows
- Obtain my PhD in Psychology
- Own/Decorate my own home

What are some things that are on your bucketlist?

It's Been Updated!

One more post!

I hope you all love the new layout and background of my blog!

It took a lot of trial and error but I have finally gotten my blog to how I want!!!

I wanted a colorful but subtle (i know, oxymoron haha) color scheme and a nice "about me" image. As well as all the links, lists and pages in a easily accessible location.

I was brand new to all of this blog stuff and I am self-taught. I have had my blog for a little over 2 months and I can safely say that I now somewhat know what I'm doing haha.

Comment and tell me what you think!

Thanks!

I promise that I am going to start posting more starting Monday!

I also just really wanted to say thank you to everyone who has stuck with me through my week of no posts!

Here's to a Happy and Safe Weekend!

I Miss My Old Job

Happy Monday Lovelies!

I really miss my old job and all of my friends.

I was the Student Manager of the Textbooks Department at my school's bookstore.

I worked there for 3 years and I have absolutely loved every minute of it.

That is one of the reason why I hated graduating. I had to leave all of my friends and coworkers behind.

Even though the job was super stressful and demanding, I always kept a smile on my face and made so many friends in the process.

I honestly knew all the employees and managers extremely well and everyone knew me.

Gosh I wish I could go back to those days!

Do You Like School Uniforms?

How many of you had to wear school uniforms as a kid or still do?

I used to hate wearing uniforms because they were so plain and there were always dress code restrictions to make it even more difficult to be an individual.

Some dress codes now a days are a little bit more lenient with what you can wear, as long as it it not distracting.

Once I moved to a new town when I was in the 4th grade, I never had to worry about uniforms again!

Thank Goodness!

Do you still have to wear uniforms? If  so, how do you make your outfits unique?

My Love for New Girl!

Who's That Girl? It's Jess!

I absolutely adore and love this show. I remember watching the pilot (back in the day) and laughing so hard until my sides hurt. Zooey Deschanel is so funny, cute and quirky that it is just too hard to not smile. The rest of the cast plays their characters so well that sometimes it's hard to forget that they are acting. This show is filled with funny lines, situations and even heart warming moments. I would highly recommend this show to anyone who loves a quirky and funny yet relatable sitcom.

I could watch this show religiously and never get tired of it.

Going Back To School Is Awesome!

Photo via

It is that time of the year again!! I am sure that everyone could tell based on all of the new back to school commercials. I ave always loved back to school shopping and starting a new school year. I know so many of you are dreading going back to school but here are some positive things to look forward to:

1. New School Supplies

Who doesn't love getting new school supplies? Getting fresh new notebooks in your favorite colors? I have always been obsessed with getting new school supplies. I am the type of person who color coordinates the color of the notebooks with each class. When I was younger, I used to love getting everything Lisa Frank!

2. Making New Friends

Whether you are going to a new school or at the same one, you can always make new friends. You never know who you may meet or what will happen. All it takes is sitting next someone new and you never know, you may become best friends!

3. New Teachers

New Teachers are always a interesting topic when going back to school. Every teacher has a reputation and of course everyone wants the "cool" teacher(s). Even if a teacher is labeled as being mean or tough does not mean that they really are that way. Remember that it is just a label. As I always say "kill them with kindness". Just make sure to apply yourself and do the best you can and I am sure you will be on any teacher's good side.

4. New Material

If you are like me, I would be bored to death of learning the same material over and over. That is one thing that I love about starting a new school year. Not only is it new material that can interest and challenge you but there may be new teaching methods as well. It is always exciting to learn something new to keep your brain sharp.

5. New Environments

As I stated before, whether it is a new school, new seat, new classroom or what have you should not intimidate you from starting school. You never know what may happen in your new surroundings. Sometimes you may be placed into a entirely new classroom or building and it may be freighting but make sure to keep your head up and stay confident.

Feel free to share why you love or dislike starting a new school year!

Here's to a Happy, Healthy and Safe New School Year!

What to Wear & Bring to A Concert In The Park

One of my favorite summer activities is going to a concert in our local park every Wednesday. It is so much fun because every week there is a different music genre. Yesterday's genre was Latin music and  it was definitely a cultural experience. Not only was it entertaining and energetic, it was also exciting. I cannot dance to save my life but I did learn how to salsa dance.

There are so many different outfits that you can wear to a concert in the park, depending on the weather of course. Today was very sunny but the heat was very mild and there was a slight breeze.

Since you would be sitting out in the grass, it would be wise to wear longer pants whether they are capris or ankle length jeans. Trust me, you would not want to get bit by any bugs while you are out having fun. So without further adieu here some cute outfit possibilities for a fun time in the park.

concert in the park

It is best to bring a cover up of some sort such as a shawl or a sweater in case it gets chilly later on in the evening.

You should always carry either a small purse or a tote. Something simple that can hold your wallet, car keys, makeup, hand sanitizer, sunglasses and any other necessities that you may have.

Most importantly, never forget your bug spray or sun block if you are going to be out in the sun.

Some places may already have provisions but it never hurts to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets to sit on so you can be comfortable while enjoying the concert. You can also bring your own cooler and stuff it with all of your favorite snacks and drinks.

Just remember that what ever you pack, you have to carry it to your choice of spot and then back to your car.

Going To The Dentist...

Happy Hump Day Lovelies!

Who here absolutely hates going to the Dentist? I do. It is not a fear nor is it because they pick at your teeth. I hate it because I hate the sounds of the drilling, scraping and scratching. For as long as I can remember, my hearing has always been sensitive to those noises. I honestly wish that I could just drown out those noises. I hate how they always pick and poke the mess out of your teeth and mouth and then act like it doesn't hurt. I loathe going to the Dentist and of course I have to go today...

Wish Me Luck!
